MSSN Lagos begins summer coding bootcamp for students

The ‎Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Lagos State Area Unit has started a free summer bootcamp on coding for secondary school students on August 14, 2021.

The training, which is aimed at introducing students to digital and ICT skills with focus on Basic Data Management and Python Programming Language, holds every weekend and will end on August 29, 2021.

In a chat with Yossy Info, the President (Amir), Mallam Nurudeen Yuosuph said, “We all know that the world is now on Digital revolution and we want to help our members to be major players by equipping them with 21st digital skills”.

He further explained that coding is the bedrock of many other IT areas, adding that the students need the  knowledge of saving, retrieving and manipulating data which is what the codes will depend on.

The facilitators for the training are Mr. Hassan Saberedowo (Senior Data Manager at Huawei Technology Ltd), Mr. Saheed Alashe
(Alpha Technologies, V.I) and Mr. Ibn Abbas.
